Abramovich's fortune shrinks, Scolari seeks talks about fund

Chelsea owe Abramovich £600 million as of the end of last season.

They always "assumed" that he had enough money and would just walk away without asking for it back, but that was when his personal fortune was over £10 billion.

If his fortune dwindles much more then he will have to sell Chelsea for more than £1 billion to get his money back plus a little profit, there is a further £150 million debt in loans.

All the SKY 4 are in HUGE financial trouble, their sums just don't add up. It might not be apparent now, but as the saying goes - "When the tide goes out you can see who's been swimming without their trunks on."

Roman's business fortune has shrunk to the £2b mark, but his personal fortune, the money that is 'his' and not tied up in business is around the £11b mark, and its his own pocket that funds Chelsea.
Unfortunaly it is again the media grabbing 1 half of a story and juicing up the second part to make it semi newsworthy.

thats the thing with dodgy oligarchs. abramovich may have been 'worth' ten billion, twenty billion a hundred billion? but its not actual money just a valuation of his assets. apparently (according to wikipedia anyway!) he sold his stake in sibneft for $13b and put in into millhouse llc which is his private investment company. i suppose it all depends on where millhouse llc invested that money. we all know about that madoff fella ripping off rich people with his ponzi scheme, would be hillarious if something similar had happened to millhouse. he must have invested it in something otherwise why set up the new company? if he's stuck with comodities he would be in trouble as well with oil prices through the floor and sotck markets tanking everywhere (especially the russian market) undoubtedly he will have lost a significant amount of money over the last year, lets just hope its enough to force the crook to liquidate his remaining assets (sell all chelsea's players and that prime bit of real estate they play their matches on)
