Jim Melrose v Notts County at home in a 2-0 win in the mid-80s. Incredible volley on the half turn from the half-way line. Unfortunately, a dispute between the Football League and BBC and ITV meant there were no cameras in the ground to record it. As a consequence, each time I've described it over the years, it's been from further and further out. Regardless, it's still the best goal I've ever witnessed live. Anyone else old enough to remember it?
