interested in what's going on in our owners homeland.

If you think Sheikh Mansour will think twice about developing the stadium, the super casino site and the land/area around the stadium, think again. (it's pocket money for them) These guys have a 'massive' vision for Abu Dhabi.

Bear in mind not all of these projects will see the light of day, but Abu Dhabi is playing catch up with Dubai, so most of these projects will eventually get built.

Nice post that mate.

The thing that truly amazes me isn't how big or beautiful they are, or even how much they cost. It's how quickly and efficiently they are built. If any of these were in Manchester they would be 20 years projects, over there, the build skyscrapers from groundworks to completion in about 12 bloody months!
 
yes they build them quick (with slave labour) but i dont think they are particularly beautiful. they all look a bit uninspiring to me.
 
I thought Etihad Towers looked really nice, but I like engineering projects, bridges and the like, anyway.

Masdar City is a great idea.
 
Some impressive buildings there! A bit off topic but did anyone see the design for a "vertical village" by Romulus Sim- He's won awards for it!

speaking of our owners, guess who's gonna be there today ?
none other than the legend himself sheik mansour. the place will erupt when the announcer says he's there.
