If Manchester had access to hundreds of thousands of labourers working 14 hours a day, seven days a week for less than 100 pounds a month the buildings would go up very quickly there as well.

The almost complete lack of red tape also helps, of course. If you want to build something here, you can pretty much start straight away. Back in England you have to go through several years of red tape before you can even break ground.

As I understand it the build quality is normally quite poor as well... Don't a load of Dubai propertys have really big problems now?
