AC Arles-Avignon & Man City (possible link-up)

I assume that the benefit is future loans of our young players to them so it is to the benefit of our youngsters future development and gaining experience in a foreign country and the future success of AC Arles-Avignon.
 
I would say the benefit is partly that, but as much it's to use Arles as a way in to access the French youth talent. Sounds like another part of the board's plans for a Global Academy system to me.
 
I understand both replies but my point is why a Ligue 2 side?

Surely the better youngsters are to be found in the top flight (in general) and also our lads would be better prepared for the Premier League by facing French top flight opponents if they were to go out there for a spell.

Again, wouldnt it be preferred by any new french signings that they are playing in the top flight academy system?

We might well be able to get a better deal from them and frankly, I can't think that it would be that hard to help them get up.

Yeh, maybe mate, well im sure our boys have something up their sleeve if they are considering it. Just cant see the next batch of Clairfontaine kids coming from AC Arles-Avignon!
 
Maybe something to do with all the accusations thats being going around regarding youngsters from French clubs. Possibly a loop hole there somewhere in chich we can sign them but they play for AC until a certain age. I don't really know much about the situation just taking a guess.
 
Lovely part of the world! If there's any chance of a free, cultural exchange for fans, can I be first in the queue?
