AC Milan walk off pitch because of Racists

It's the new craze

Would you walk out of your job having been racially abused? Or do you not have the money to fall back on? It happens all the time, my answer would be to play and win - be professional. Would they have have left the game if it wasn't such a high profile situation??

I'm a bit dubious to the intentions of this action.

B*ll*cks.

There are ways around this whole "what do you do about it?" question.

Unlike in a job, at a match it's quite easy to see where the chant is coming from (The Klowns are usually bouncing or dancing) and to empty that side of the crowd with police help. It doesn't matter who is innocent or not, they will be affected as it's a rough guess as to who is responsible.

It will soon stop.

And before anybody says it, it is highly unlikely that whole stadia will be doing the chanting and if even if that WAS the case, the game would have to be abandoned.

Doing it with my suggestion is to, at least, try and salvage the game at first and then walk off if unable to salvage it.

the last City game that was stopped early due to crowd "disturbance" the result stood as it was when we invaded the pitch.

For a bonus point, what was the game?
1985 away at Notts C, we lost 3-2 having been 2-0 up, and would have clinched promotion ?
Game wasn't stopped mate it kicked off at half time when we were 3 down just delayed restart for about 20 minutes if i remember right but game got completed.Don't think we were ever 2 up unless I've lost it completely we scored 2 in second half nearly got a draw.

By my recollections, the last game to be stopped early due to crowd trouble involving City was our last home game against Chelsea in the Royle era, the referee blew for a free kick in added time, the north stand invaded the pitch, the players ran off and never reappeared, 2002 - 2003 (if anyone can prove otherwise of course I will apologise)

Must be my short term memory going (only ten years ago) cos i would have been at this one just don't remember it at all

Hopefully it doesn't come to it but if it does, he should do it in a big match as he's said he would.

Boateng needs to find his backbone . He`s bowed down to these mongs and now every opposing football fan knows he is botty weak . Whats sticks and stones in Italian ? The team could of been more professional instead they acted like the spoilt child .
Berlusconni and Galliano two of the most influential owners in Italian football are the people who should be taking action , not their employee.

There was trouble after the game, but don't remember it being stopped early.

I remember the trouble because I was in a mixed City/Chelsea crowd that day, two families, 8 people, 5 blues, 3 chelsea, but only 2 were in the chelsea section, and we arranged to meet outside the kippax after the game, but couldn't because of the trouble. We eventually met up outside of the Nelson pub after we (city) were forced against the pub wall by police horses escorting chelsea back to the station.

They will no doubt be punished by the jokers who run football but I applaud their actions. We should have stood up to the tossers over the Serbian game, sadly we didn't.

This is a quote from Marcotti (Journalist) on Twitter

" Most of stadium applauds walk off. Ref halts game (entitled to do so under new rules)"

I'm not aware of any new rules regarding walking off because of racisim? Lets hope more is made of this..

Like you I don't know of any new rules, some platini wannabe will quote article 67 sub setion 4 paragraph 3 appendage 79 that states 'all teams must play until the final whistle, failure to do so will result in UEFA making a fool of themselves but rules are rules'.
It's actually Appendage 78. But the rest is spot on.
