According to my Parents, I'm Obsessed with CITY

I think it's a typical case of someone who doesn't understand the attraction only being able to see the negatives. If you didn't go tot eh gym and play golf, I think they'd have more grounds for concern, but as it is you sound pretty balanced between active and sedentary interests. Perhaps you could try and explain the positives and reassure them that there are many worse things about which to be "obsessed"?

I've had the same thrown at me before, City is my obsession too, but it's brought me friendships and more over the years as well as the love of the game and the club.

Provided you are fulfilling your responsibilities in your day to day life, I don't think your love of football and City can be harming you. Try and point all this out very gently though hey - they care and they love you enough to broach the subject.

It's healthy to have hobbies & Interests and stuff.

It's not healthy to be obsessed or addicted to anything!

Quote from OP..

"Anyone else feel, or have been told they are obsessed with CITY or football in general"

any way back to the piss taking

since your 16 what i would do is start a fire in a deserted warehouse in north manchester, hide and laugh as the tramps flee !

For every 20 mickey - taking replies, there has to be one serious one - it's the rules of football message boards, didn't you know? ;)

i suppose so

whatever !!

(goes and sulks teenagey like in my room)

:D Don't forget to turn your music up VERY loud to demonstrate your annoyance at being so misunderstood :P
and it has to be something everyone else in the house hates
my particular favourite is Led Zeppelin, drives them all mad

One of my customers accused me of "letting City take over my life". Bear in mind, she was actually a blue herself.

I thought about it. If you ask anyone what the definition of a 'good life' would be, it would be:
- Being happy
- Having lots of mates
- Travelling around the world
- Meeting new people all the time
- Having a life full of memories

It occured to me that you get that through City. What else do they want you to do?!!

My advice would be stick with it. Once you're old enough to get to games on your own, get wasted along with the rest of us, you'll soon realise you've made the right choice.
