Why WOULD they take action? Can you imagine if Kompany had gotten some form of punishment for being fouled maliciously? What a precedent that would set.

The incident is too ridiculous for words - but in the past it's never stopped the FArce giving players like SWP three matches for trying to get Dick Delap from kicking him whilst he was on the ground.

It was rather ironic to see BBC MotD running the tale with Hansen suggesting that Vinny should have got a red. I would have asked him to run the Lennon/Shearer snip and see what he had to say about that. And what the Geordie Gimp himself had to say about it.
