Not for a couple of weeks.....these pictures have been leaked and shouldnt even be in the public domain yet according to my mate at Umbro. Apparently their Brand Protection Manager aint best pleased.

These will also only be sold in MCFC stores as due to the fact that the deal was done relatively late, and Umbro dont envision selling more than about 40,000 shirts in total.

Only at the club shop?! Surely that's bad planning, what with our efforts to increase our "brand profile" and all that, or is it a "revenue protection" scheme? With the high profile names we're supposedto be signing this summer, demand outside Manchester and potentially abroad would likely increase significantly.

40,000 shirts in total? or is that home kit only? I would have expected more than that, does anyone know sales figures for previous kits?

Possibly 40k of each ?? I really dont know the answer to that, but someone else did post on here yesterday saying they had asked in JJB about the new City kit, and they too were told that it was only being sold in MCFC stores. Not sure if this will be just for the release date.....but as you say, it doesnt really promote our brand very well if this is the case.

EDIT : Maybe it will be just the home shirt initially, as the away isnt out until August and the 3rd kit until October....

I'm sure I saw someone in the sash shirt, coming out of one of the City Stores at the Bolton game... I'm sure it had ETIHAD under the badge too. Could this have been your mate? Or was I seeing things?

It is yeah! But to be fair on the scousers it's kind of a retro one for them too as they wore that style with the white triangle neck in the mid 80s i think. That's what my childhood memory of panini sticker albums is telling me!!!
