I will await the trial and verdict 'til I pass judgement.

Aye, ditto. I had a mate who was arrested for this type of thing. Police rocked up, took all his phones, laptop etc. Kept them for months. Gave them back. No charges. He'd never even met the girl, and she'd always claimed to be 18. Seems they had a falling out online, and she presumably set the cops on him.
Quite why people feel the need to do all this nonsense on the internet is beyond me anyway. What was wrong with the old fashioned way? Go out for a drink, see a nice girl, go over, tell her she's got a lovely arse, and does she fancy a shag. Game's a goodun.

Even in the old fashioned way, you could end up with an under 16 ;-)

EDIT : Aah i see what you mean. No techno trail ;-)

It means the CPS think he probably knew she was under age and probably arranged to meet her, probably for sexual purposes...

They now have to go about proving it (beyond reasonable doubt).

The CPS have erred many times in the past, particularly with potential sexual offences, as it seems they'd rather lose in court but be seen to have 'acted'.

As things stand, the lad is innocent, and rightly so.

But that said.....

The CPS process dictates that they only put cases forward to trial where they think (all things progressing normally) there would be a conviction
Unless, of course, they're MPs or similarly privileged people (allegedly).

You smooth old dog. Now I know where I went wrong. :)

Just received more junk mail through the letter box. One is quite a substantial booklet full of adverts, with one or two articles thrown in.

Amazingly, there is one on puppy grooming. It is quite legal for you to groom a puppy, but doing the same to a human version, ie, under the age of 16, can get you a jail sentence.

Strange world we live in.

It's legal to get an animal, skin it, cut its flesh off, put it in a grinder, stick it under some heat and then rip it apart with your teeth and eat it

It's however illegal for you to at any point stick your cock in it.

A reasonable prospect of conviction... not quite the same thing.
But yes, it ought to be worth taking to court. But still, the CPS has been questioned plenty of times about some of the cases it's brought to the courts. But it could be every bit as unfair of me to prejudge the CPS as would Adam Johnson - so we'll just have to wait and see.

If he's guilty, it's a sad state of affairs, and if he's not guilty, it's a sad state of affairs - he's knackered either way.

My comment, as you know may have imagined, was meant as a tongue in cheek remark. But I suppose that even that saying could be misconstrued! Plus, I don't think the RSPCA would be too happy, although legal as you state, to do what you have suggested to a puppy.

The only way to ensure that does not happen is to make sure you do not buy your burgers from Tesco's, that said I don't think it is a criminal offence to stick your cock in your burger, (unless you are in Tesco's at the time.....then it might be.)
