Quick couple of questions for everyone.

Given his lack of stamina and a history of injuries and niggles.

How many games will AJ play for Sunderland this season now that he is a proper first teamer?

How many games will he be subbed off in because he's knackered?

I think a few are in for a surprise when MoN gets him back playing regularly and with confidence. Barring injury, he'll be a regular starter for them and become a cult hero with the fans. Bad news for the likes of Walcott and Lennon as well, because he's going to become an England regular.

Hmm, I have my doubts. A great player against fatiguing opposition, but not one to dominate a whole game.

Whom will he replace, McLean or Larsson?

Anyone know a Sunderland forum so I can gauge their reaction to the transfer?

They're very excited.

He hasn't played yet to be fair.

I hope that MoN tells him to play on the left, and gets him to play as a proper winger, he's a likeable lad so I hope he does well for them.

Thanks folks. I think he'll be a good signing for them, it'll be interesting to see how he does with more games under his belt. No hard feelings on this one, feels like it was probably a fair deal all round for player and both clubs.

If we need any further proof it's a great deal for city no big decent sides in the prem made a serious offer for him.......:::..

You can't.blame them. They've done a good bit of business this window. Let's see if O'Neill can work his mythical magic on the black cats now.
I've got him failing.

He has half a chance of getting them in the Europa League but not any further.

He'll set his side up not to lose against the likes of us but he's not expansive enough against the middle order. He's very Hughes like for me.

Yep I agree to a point, but he has won a few trophies including at Leicester so he isn't a bad manager in my opinion. Admittedly he has squandered money so that is one for the Mackems to think about.

We've had to give him a chunk of the fee according to the Telegraph's north east guy.

From an FFP point of view, we have saved 4 years of £80k a week, plus got a significant sum for him. If you need further reassurance, please look at what SWPBack wrote in the Adebayour thread re wages, profit etc.

Not sure why everyone gets so wound up by transfer fees and wages we may or may not have had to pay. The Sheikh has us covered in that area forunately!

This summer has been about offloading fringe players and hopefully this transfer will now trigger a couple of signings.

Doubt that, just lazy journalism if you ask me. Saying that, I'm offering no more proof than they are!!

It's pretty much got to be the mirror of the Ade deal . Monkey see monkey do. He's not to blame though that's just the way it is.
Let's not forget we've come out of this transition in our history as Champions and a footballing force to be reckoned with across the world.

Why do we have to pay him off if he's the one who wanted to leave? Mancini didn't kick him out the door like he did Adebayor.

This, just speculative bull from our media.

Can I just say this

Thankyou Mancini for getting rid of that fucknut Adam Johnson and may many more wasters follow him out the fucking door. I've feared many players coming back to haunt us, this lazy c.unt will not be one.

+1.

Overrated by anyone but city fans. Lazy, not particularly pacey, one trick pony.

I always liked adam, but he always seemed more of an individual player out there than someone who had a good connection with his teammates.
