Even if we get Sinclair he'll be a sub.
We'll see, I'm going to guess that Sinclair will have more ambition than just be a bench player here. If he signs we will have a younger, quicker, more ambitious player that can cross.

I wish AJ all the best at Sunderland, he seems like a nice lad, and he's given me a few moments of joy, but truth told, if he'd knuckled down here it could have been a lot more, but it seemed to me that once he was a regular in the Engerlund squad he thought he'd made it, which he had, as his 2 medals, and appearance in the CL will testify, none of which he will repeat at S'land, but all in all, he wasn't good or ambitious enough for where City want to be.

Re: Adam Johnson

Disappointed we've let Johnson go, he doesn't fit the system Mancini wants to play... but then neither will Sinclair, nor has he the ability and potential to get to Johnson's level imo.

£10mil seems cheap too, i can see him moving to another top 4 club in a few years...

Adam Johnson

Good luck AJ and thanks for the memories. Very dangerous player, very quick feet and good striker of the ball. A lack of pace prevents him from becoming a true top drawer player, but I bet he's a great success for Sunderland and hopefully for England too.

Sad to see him go

Re: Adam Johnson

Bacuzzi is right,he's definitely got an eye for a player...

No problem - Savic will be a quality player. I thought he did ok last season. Can't have been easy getting thrown in at the deep end. He will come good and is a solid back-up for Jolean and Vincent.

Re: Adam Johnson

That is one of my birthday presents sorted with the Scott Sinclair deal (if true).

Re: Adam Johnson

£10M-£15M is a good deal. He is a good impact sub but out of his depth at the level we require over 90 mins imo. All the best for the future Johno.

Strange the official site is showing some of his great goals that we will surely miss.
I thought it was quite classy that.

Yeah absolutely, nice one City. Good luck Adam will never forget that run against Salzburg. It's a shame it didn't work out here but I'd wish him the best wherever he went, wouldn't mind a customary left footed curler against the rags for old time's sake.

When he's 30 and even slower and weaker than he is now?

We will see but im hoping Sinclair will give us some different with his pace. Also wasn't it 10 million plus another 5 mill in add ons.?

Never make another top 4 side. He's not willing to put the effort in, which is a shame because he's got the talent.

He is more qualified than Roberto Mancini obviously.

Similar to the Rodwell deal.

Re: Adam Johnson

With AJ gone only Yaya will score regularly from 25 yards. Cant see us repeating as top dogs unless this is fixed.

He can already beat a man without electric pace, he's 25... i think he's a dangerous and effective player in the right system.

Re: Adam Johnson

Gutted to see AJ leave as I always loved to watch him play and always got excited when I seen him pelting at someone full speed or taking the ball down the wings. Granted he seemed to almost hide away the odd game but on his day his speed and trickery were fantastic to watch. Good luck to him though! Will be interesting to see Sinclair develop as I think he is going to be a fantastic player.
