For me, had a bit too much too soon and is now paying the price. His initial soirees, (not helped by Gaz Baz it has to be said) would seem to have set him back a little in terms of his application and discipline. Next season is a big season for him and if we sign another attacking midfielder, I would be happy if he did a Joe Hart and went to another Prem club on loan and played the majority of games and came back better for the experience.
Having met him a couple of times, on a personal level he has loads of time for the fans so from that point of view, I'd be sad if it didn't work out for him. For some press reporting about his "City nightmare" that's just ridiculous. Although lots of pundits seem surprised Downing got in ahead of him, despite Downing providing no assists and no goals this season...
Then again, Hodgsons a plonker. If the likes of Jones, Kelly, Dowing et al fail miserably, I'll laugh my head off.

He can suffer from the ''headless chicken'' syndrome at times, running up blind alleys. For me, his best role would be as an impact sub type player. Bring him on with 20 minutes or so to go against a tiring defence. Definitely not worthy of a place in the starting XI.

Turns 25 in a few weeks. Not much younger than Dzeko, the same age as Nasri. I think when people talk about Johnson's potential and how he can improve, it's as if he's 21 or 22.
I'm not saying I want him out, but if he does stay then this season is a make or break season for him here, no doubt about it.

Hasnt progressed to the next level. IF we sign a new winger he will find it hard next season to get any game time at all. I just think that if a bid comes in for AJ maybe we should think long and hard about it. We got him cheap we could sell him on for double that to many English clubs now.
