Adam Johnson - Going or not ?

i dont think capello will take johnson (he should do though). scott parker should be going as barry's understudy as well but don't think he will make it either. much better than both carrick and huddlestone.

I would rather all our players get a summers rest, no injuries, and fully prepared and ready to fight for a place and be up for doing the business next season. Sorry people I just put city first.

going to the world cup will be the best possible experience for AJ (if he goes)
we could see him come back a better player

Don't get me wrong I love City and always put them first but surely playing in a competition this big can only make AJ better. He'll gain experience playing under serious pressure and his chances of injury are slim.

Could be wrong but I don't think he's the type of player to injure easily, not like torres etc who are made of glass.

I personally was hopeful as all the papers said he had put in excellent performances at the training camp. But today, when he wasn't named in the starting lineup for tomorrows game im doubtful. Also Fabio's comments today about how he can sympathize with the pressure AJ is facing.

My Verdict: He's not going. (Really really hope I'm wrong)

What do you think ?

Yes - he can play both sides

If Capello has any sense then johnson should go. He has everything you need in a winger, he can dribble, pass, shoot and cross with both feet something which Walcott clearly cannot do!
