petrov is out of contract in the summer anyway. genuinely love him to bits, but, with his medical record, mard-arse tendancies and lack of track-back-ability, I can't see us offering him the four year deal he'd get from somewhere like spurs.

wouldn't blame him if that's the case, but I think it's more that there's only so much you can do with the money at the moment. if the right player was available I'm sure he'd get him, but until we get in the champs league the 30m+ players won't make the leap.... anyway we need young 'uns to balance out the squad age, and AJ is a huge talent in the making. if he was argentine and had three years on his contract he'd be 25m.

Bizzarely though, the Boro winger would probably make a bigger impact in this league! Have you seen Cack-a at Madrid?
