Adam Johnson off, Shaun Wright-Phillips on.

As much as we talk poorly about SWP on here he always finds a way to slip past his defender into open space. Again, not a great crosser of the ball but his quick feet and speed always blows by someone. Now AJ and his move on Evra on the corner kick was epic. I can't wait for him to have a full season next year. His runs and creativity have been missed over the last few months.

I doubt it was for sentimental reasons mate, I think Mancini just wanted a player who has pace, can attack and can track back because it was late in the game. Shauny is perfect for that role, shown when he nearly set up Yaya and when he was doing an overhead kick out of play in the last minute.

I seriously doubt that there was an iota of sentiment in the decision to bring SWP on - not 1-0 against the masters of the last minute goal/s.
Had we been 4-0 up it'd be hard to call, but no way, not 1-0.
100% tactical switch I'd say.

Definitely. Johnson had run out of steam and we needed someone like Shaun to pin them back.
