Adam Sadler (born 9 January 1980 in North Shields, Tyne and Wear) is an English former football apprentice and was head of youth coaching at Football League One side Plymouth Argyle.
Playing career
Born in North Shields, Sadler grew up in Seghill, Northumberland, and played for the local junior football side before being picked up by Newcastle United. before moving on to enjoy spells with both Manchester United and Barnsley.
Coaching career
In his late teens, Sadler decided that he wanted to pursue a career in coaching and took up a position as youth coach at Newcastle United. They soon recognised his potential and he was elevated to the role of assistant Academy Director. During this employment he also periodically covered as first-team goalkeeping coach working with both Shay Given and Steve Harper.
In December 2007, Sadler was handed the opportunity to replace Lee Clark and take charge of Newcastle United's reserves and subsequently led his second-string side to Northumberland Senior Cup success

Got a chance to learn from Adam at Argyle when I came over for a month long internship from America. Must say he's a quality young up and coming coach. He was the head assistant coach, led most of the training sessions, and was hugely impactful on match day. I'm sure Peter Reid wishes he was still there.
He had great relationships with the players on the squad and everyone throughout the entire Argyle staff. Part of the reason he has been so successful despite his age is his personality and demeanor. He's maybe the most engaging and funny person i've ever met. You will enjoy speaking with him if you ever get a chance.
This is a great opportunity for Adam and City is fortunate to have him. If I was a fan of the squad, I would think is says a lot about the potential Adam has as a coach for Mancini to bring him onto such a big club when there are actually players on the squad who are older than he is.
