could also be an 8, he's that good. Perfect for us in the way we like players that are flexible

Not entirely sure personally, but okay I think. Would love him though on the basis that it's a Pep team and he'd help us keep possession and progress the ball.

One thing defensively is he does go to ground for a slide tackle a fair bit. He'd be guaranteed yellow cards playing that way for us, though I'm sure he could work on things etc.

What was impressive in that video he looks as though he's always trying to find a forward pass whereas at the moment we have too many comfortable with a sideways. Let's hope Cherki breaks that mould

Most of the players we buy still need some work, or are stepping up a level so not quite a sure thing. Is that the issue for you? Are you wanting us to sign someone who is more of a cert?

The difference is that Bellingham never played in the Premiership whereas Wharton has and has proved himself. Bellingham went off to Germany from Birmingham as we know it isn't too difficult to shine in that League eg Sancho

Unless the player says they're only interested in one club, but then we guess Palace wouldn't have to sell.

I still don't understand how Liverpool seemed to get a free run at Mac Alister for the price they got him.

We have a global scouting networks that constantly identifies top young players all over the world. It is a little baffling that we and other local clubs were not all over him when he moved from Blackburn. He is basically a local lad.

I like what Viana has done, he bought in targets then moved the deadwood. I always worried we might miss out on a player like Wharton because we have plenty of midfielders and would mean someone like Kovacic having to be moved on.
