Adam Wharton

I think its weird choosing between him and Anderson due to the difference in their strengths and who you pair them with.

Let's say Rodri plays DM, a pass master, then the hard duel winning Anderson is better because Whartons passing range isnt needed.

Let's say Nico G plays DM, a hard duel winning midfielder, then Whartons passing range compliments him perfectly.

A bit strange to choose. I'd love both, but doesnt seem possible especially if Nunes and Nico O can also deputize in midfield.

I think Rodri's injury will see him picking up little niggles, overall effecting his return.

I'm such a Rodri fan, but I think we have to be honest and expect a good few set backs in him being game ready and mentality.

I agree, I think its better long term planning for us to think "who pairs better with Nico G, than who pairs better with Rodri".

In that sense, Wharton is better than Anderson.

£65m champions League club seems too good to be true!?

If this is true, get it sorted now, Anderson in the summer. We are going to lose Kova and Bernardo and these two fit the bill for a new midfield. Add in Rodri, Nico, Foden, Cherki, Doku, Haaland, Semenyo and that’s nine for six places. Keeps players fresh etc and builds squad depth.

Off the ball he is pants and has no mobility, he’d be another passenger for City. We have enough technical midfielders and passers, we need somebody who also has legs and gets up and down.

Not sure if he improves Liverpool’s midfield, is he an upgrade on what they have?

He isnt really is he besides maybe taking Endo out and him in?

Yah can see that he wants to move back to the north and we luck like getting Anderson

Him or Scott i think are done for the summer. Anderson has a release clause and if for some bizarre reason that doesnt happen then we have also been on the Alex Scott case.

He is a really good player. Very good positionally and a superb first-time passer of the ball.
Based on what I have seen of him and Anderson, I think the latter is more suited to our squad: he is more physical and more destructive, and we don't have much of that; we have all the creativity we need, IMO.
