my current team:

.......................................given.....................................
Toure.............richards......................kompany..........garrido
..........................zabaleta.............de jong........................
........................................tevez....................................
..............bellamy........................................johnson..........
........................................adebayor................................

couple of points here:

Toure: his great attacking runs against everton show he should be given a chance at right back. also, i maintain richards is a natural CB, as the sven season with him and dunne showed

Tevez: in my opinion, he just doent sync with ade at all. i reckon he needs to be put in a free role behind the front 3 to help create (this is the role ireland would usually be in, but currently he is as much use as negaoui)

wingers: adam johnson is a natural left winger, and it isnt writen in gospel bellers needs to be on the left. if bellamy can make plenty of runs in the box i feel he could win us a penalty or 2 and cause the left back no end of problems
The only way you'll keep Ade in the middle is to tie him to a steak in the ground so that won't work, you want to put our main goal threat Tevez further out from goal and switch our two wide men off the flanks where they've looked at their best....hmmmmmmmmmm!
I laughed my ass off.

i think if Ade plays then AJ plays on the right because Ade is never in the box for a driven cross because of his CONSTANT DRIFTING!!!!!!
if you play RSC i'd stick AJ on the left and have him looking for santa cruz.
we saw against sunderland at home that tevez and bellamy like playing with santa cruz because he makes chances for them with his knockdowns. Ade can't win a header and can't win the ball in the air so i kind of agree with the OP that Ade would be better from deep.

Not strictly true regarding Ade's aerial ability. Running on to a ball and facing the opponent's goal there are not many better, he just refuses to jump with his back to goal.

Mancini should be telling him to operate through the middle and if he starts to drift bollock him. If he continues to do it then haul him off.

He can't just do what he wants and we need him through the middle, not out wide.
Why do you think Wenger got rid?
He doesn't lack ability, his positional sense is just awfull!

Will he start the match or be on the bench? He hasn't played for four matches now.

I Would imagine he will defo start we need to up our goal difference tonight and this is a big chance to do it

Adebayor has always got goals in him, it will be silly not to play him even though Tevez and Ade are not exactly harmonious.

...but I get the impression that he knows he should be in the middle but likes it out wide where he's not got the centre halfs jostling him and making life difficult for him.

That's what winds me up even more when he continues to do it.

This bloke could show him how to step up to the plate maybe!

Wasn't he out wide when he did that run past all the arsenal players and passed to SWP who missed an open goal?

He will play a simple 4-4-1-1 with Tevez coming from deep to support ade, who will be the lone striker.

---------------Given-------------------
---Zab-----kolo------vinny------barry---
---johnson--de jong---vierra----bellamy---
----------------tevez--------------------
-----------------ade---------------------

result-------3-0

Given
Zab Toure Kompany Garrido
Vieira De Jong
Adebayor Tevez Johnson
Santa Cruz

Just putting it out there.

I think if we're going to play Ade we definitely have to play 2 wingers. Tevez and Ade will both come short for the ball though so 4-4-2 is the way to go:

----------------------- Given ----------------------

Richards ------ Toure ------ Kompany ----- Zabaleta

--------------- Vieira ---------- Barry ----------------
Johnson -------------------------------------- Bellamy

--------------- Tevez --------- Adebayor ------------

Sorry..............but i just dont think Tevez and Adebayor will make a front 2 pairing.

Sometimes these things work and sometimes they dont...........this is a dont. I can recall one bit of play between the 2 all seaon that has resulted in a goal ( home to Wolves ). i cant see any chemistry betwwen the pair.

I would not have Adebayour in the starting line up tonight.

No need to accomodate anyone if it is not beneficial to the team.

Not being funny but they have only played a total of 16 times together, in a season disrupted by a change of manager, the African Cup of Nations saga, Tevez going awol in Argentina and so on... i think it could work so long as Tevez isnt made to play second fiddle to Ade!

But a partnership i would likw for next saeson: Tevez and Torres = AWESOME!

people keep saying that tevez and ade partnership doesnt work...but how many games have they actually played in together and both been fully fit

at the start of the season tevez wasnt looking the part as he had been injured

ade has missed 7 games through suspension 2-3 games injured and about 7 due to the ACN games/incident

thats 16-17 games he hasnt been available for out of 31 games...he can therefore only have partnered tevez a maximum of 14 times (in the league anyway)

it takes an awful lot longer than that to form an effective striker partnership
