At first I thought, 'Alright mate, chill yer boots.' But the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced you're bang on. He's still got a lot to prove and I don't want to get too carried away but in terms of footballing ability and, as you say, completeness as a striker, I think he's unmatched at City in maybe 30 years.BibbyBlue85 said:Top Guy, just wants to be loved by us all and already is!
Best all round striker we've had in my 24 years!

I actually would have wanted Ade more than Eto'o. It was just that at the time we were chasing Eto'o, signing Adebayor was not on the cards and i'd have been laughed off bluemoon for suggesting we go for him. I really did not see it coming! Nobody could have predicted Adebayor becoming a City player, so it wasn't even worth discussing the prospect! But in my opinion, Ade was always going to suit our style of play better than Eto'o. He has better close control, better hold up play, better heading ability, and is experienced in the premier league. He is also similarly as fast as Eto'o (i never realised Ade was as quick as he is). Also, Eto'o is 28 whereas Ade is only 25! Top signing, and a better signing than Eto'o would have been.BibbyBlue85 said:Wooderbeen said:At first I thought, 'Alright mate, chill yer boots.' Exactly mate, when you first hear the name Adebayor you think good player but it doesn't really set your heart racing like a certain Mr Eto'o but having watched him play so far this season he does look a class act and is probably doing more for us so far than Eto'o would have done. Another one of Hughesy's top buys IMO
