Adebayor (merged)

I don't think that sounds good at all from the way the Arsenal fan heard it.

If he doesn't really want to move to Manchester and would rather be in Milan then I would guess he'll stay at Arsenal, take the boos and move to Milan maybe on deadline day or in January.

It's a big life choice for Ade at 25yrs as he'll be making the main move of his career.

I hope he can come around to City's plans but if he's not keen on moving to Manchester I'd say this might be a dead deal.

Gutted if so.

I think he is being pessimistic because he doesn't want him to stay. Having listened to talksport, I do believe he will eventually come.

oh and Pam, apologies if this is posted in the wrong thread, I thought you had to respond to questions in the same thread not go hopping from one to the other. As stated previoulsy I am new here so lighten up a touch ;)

dont worry about that. these threads spend more time off topic than they do on. what we've just had is fifty people desperate for clarification of what Adebayor's agent said. under normal circumstances no-one would complain about such an discussion of such an important issue as ned's future because it's 'off-topic'. tempers are a little frayed, methinks!

It leads to confusion.

Chelsea bound? Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has ruffled Man City feathers by stalling on a trip to Eastlands

Manchester City are furious with Emmanuel Adebayor after the Arsenal striker's advisers attempted to engineer a move to Chelsea on Friday night.

Sportsmail revealed earlier this week that Adebayor was offered to neighbours Manchester United when talks with City over personal terms of £170,000 a week looked to be in danger of collapse.

There were indications yesterday that he was finally ready to agree a move to City and head up to Manchester for a medical. But the club were amazed to discover that the Togo forward has been touted to Chelsea as he continues to stall on a £25million move to Eastlands.

Adebayor even met Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger yesterday over the possibility of staying at the Emirates for another season, but the Gunners are adamant they do not want him back and are keen to honour the deal agreed with City.

In spite of the latest twist, City are resisting the temptation to pull the plug and will hold last-ditch talks this weekend aimed at resurrecting the transfer.

Just seen this, not sure if anybody else posted

If Adebayor has effectively been sold behind his back then I dont think its that unreasonable for him to want time to make the decision to commit to City.

I think he will sign, but dont think hes deserving of the shit hes been getting

You can tell your source that if Ned goes to Scouse 2 as part of Lescott deal then Hughes has single handedly ruined all the previous good work as far as I´m concerned - hope it´s wrong

Same here, I'll be well pissed off if that happens. Can't see the logic either, we'll still have the same number of CBs and then have to go looking for a quality replacement for Ned and a squad player.
exactly mate - Dunne and Ned out and Lescott in makes no sense - we need more centre backs not a reduction and not the loss of a future City and England captain, utter senseless bollocks IF true

No quotes and his agent said it's only City involved.
