Not sure what point you're trying to make here. But keeping posting youtube videos instead of indulging in conversation. It seems fun.

Edited. Cant stick around and chat, so dont want to start arguments I cant continue.

My apologies, just tired of seeing your 'black cloud of doom' posts thats all.

You could always have the courage to say what you think rather than hide behind youtube or snide remarks.

I understand if you find that a bit daunting.

Dont get Mirrors Article!

Adebayor signs for City for £22mil!

But wants to screw Arsenal for £2mil loyalty fee!

Can he do this after he has sign or must it be done before he signs? Like Eto'0!

good question, im not sure what the rules are.
this could be whats holding it up

It held up the Joey Barton (Praise Be His Name) deal to Newcastle if anyone remembers that. He had a £300,000 loyalty bonus that City refused to pay. Eventually, the bar codes came in and paid it so they could get the deal done.

See edit. Would love to continue tomorrow though.

Try not to take things so personally.

I'm overwhelmingly positive about the future of the club, I just think it would be better handled with a different person in charge, thats all.

If Adebayor signs I bet will will then apply the theory to Terry!

Our current signings are brilliant and hopefully will continue to be lets not be downbeat about it!

Nah, though I see what you mean. It's natural to move onto the next one.

For me I'd already be happy if we just signed Ade. It would show we can really compete to get these players and that they are happy to join us.

JT would change the whole club I think. In a good way possibly but he'd become club captain and the main leader on and off the pitch.

JT is obviously even bigger but in terms of ability alone I think it's a lot easier for us to get a centre-back to do a job similar to JT than it is for us to get a centre-forward to have the impact I think Ade will.

Also, JT doesn't seem realistic so it's not something we can really get too excited about.

I heard along time ago, last game of season, about the prospect of JT comin to City and couldnt believe it and now look whats happenin!

Heard about Adebayor at the weekend when he probably heard it for the first time!

Which transfer seems most realistic!

Mirror reckons it's tied up, but he's still after a 2 mil loyalty bonus from the Arse.

Loyalty bonuses are the worst thing thats happened to football in years.

Rather than people being honest about wanting to move on, players and clubs are hiding behind statements they don't believe in, just so they can pocket an extra quid or two.

Well if City get Terry and Hughes continues to lay the foundations like Raneri did at Chelsea then you may get your wish and the Special one may come when all the hard work has been done!

Why dont you give the current guys a break!

Its a shame from an instant point of view that Cook, Hughes etc... arent here to talk to him face to face but in the long run, if he signs we will get a player that has thought it through without having his arm twisted. So that can only be good for us.

I agree on both points.

I hope Cooke not being there doesn't cost us (not his fault of course) but I think having him and Hughes talk to Ade personally to sell the club would really have helped in this deal. Maybe take Tevez with them!

And I agree that if we do get him he can still be a mega player despite his cold feet now. He's entitled to take time, I don't begrudge him at all.

How the hell would Cookie not being there in person make the difference?

Ssn just read the back pages i think it was the guardian saying chelsea are to hijack the deal.

I've just thought of a machiavellian conspiracy theory that maybe city's media gurus are fostering this rumour knowing that Adebayor will sign so that the papers will run the headline "adebayor snubs Chelsea" and then go on about how Chelsea also failed to land robinho and tevez - it would certainly smooth the way for Terry to hand in a transfer request...

or am I just being too devious?
