Adebayor on £225k a week

Reading that article, I get the feeling that Ade was simply making fun of how a City player's wages is always in the spotlight, and more often than not highly exaggerated..
To manipulate what was essentially a joke into a serious article and a warning to Ade shows how low Redknapp is willing to go to get a bargain deal out of him...
Rather than moaning/boasting about how low the wage structure is at Spurs, maybe its time they start increasing it to attract better players?

why, dont spurs put their money where their mouth is and buy ade, forgot they cant afford a shiiite in a railway station.lets see where they are in 4 wee.ks

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, as Tottenham's top earners are on around £65,000 a week.

To put that in some kind of context, Joey Barton is on £80,000 a week at Queens Park Rangers.

And just how long do you invisage keeping said players on low wages and keeping them ??

Shame really, I like spurs but I hate Harry and find him a lying hypocritical shit.

As for Adebayor, yes he's paid a lot but we said he was worth that. It's annoying but he's entitled to the money we said we'd pay.

Independent:

They are also paying out over £100,000 a week of Emmanuel Adebayor's salary, leaving City paying less than £50,000 and retaining his image rights.

Telegraph:

Tottenham’s emergence as title contenders has been influenced by the loan signing of Emmanuel Adebayor from City, with Spurs paying in excess of £100,000 a week of his £160,000 weekly wage at the Etihad Stadium.

Hopefully this is the truth about his loan.

Adebayor has the second best strike-rate of any Spurs player during the Premier League Era.

Only Jurgen Klinsmann has a better record...

I don't think using half a season is a fair comparison to the people a little lower down that list.

You should take note of the City fans comments - and some of your own lads too by the sounds of it - he starts off like a house on fire and then loses interest.

Lets see that table at the end of the season and whether he is still up there.
