I think us City fans just need to chill a little as these types of negative stories will happen more frequently as we become more of a threat to the Sky 4.
If we all keep reacting to press reports like this then this season could end up being not as enjoyable as it should be.
Before the takeover we were rarely talked about in the media unless it was to speak about us in a condescending way or to poke fun at us, now we're seen as a threat & the knives are out.
How many times in the past have you heard people say " i like City" or "they are my 2nd club" or "good old City" etc etc , they only said those things because we were never looked on as a threat & the condescension from these people made me puke, in effect they were laughing at us in that lovely patronising way of theirs.
We've all got to watch that we don't end up with huge chips on our shoulders & turn to a siege type mentality, if we do that then these f*ckers have won.
We are continually being prodded with a sharpened stick to see if we react & unfortunately most of us do, i know i have.
Just look at it like this, we didn't really have much negative press in the past because we were never looked on as anything but 'typical City', now the so called 'big' clubs are running scared & we're never out of the papers, they can bang on all day about how we're not a threat to them but it's a lie & they know it.
Maybe not this season, maybe not even next but we are going to be a threat to the top 4 clubs & they are worried.
Next time you read negative press or hear coments about us that make you angry , just smile & remember it's the fact that they are scared of where we're going that makes them act like this.

Top post and you're 100% correct.
We're still not entirely "public enemy no.1" amongst other fans as yet but if we start well,we soon will be.
It just shows how "connected" the media are to the current top four.
They're all in it together to keep the cartel the way it is.
It's not even barely concealed anymore-the denial has rapidly turmed to anger and spite.

Well lets face it, we have been taking legal proceedings against this shitter of a paper relentlessly. This is their loop hole so to speak.
