Adebayor to be replaced

Ade was one of our best defenders of their corners!!! I thought he was 2nd best on the pitch after De jong!!!!

I agree though, no rag players are as lazy or shit as Ade. Just look at Berbatov, he's the perfect pro yet we're stuck with a cry baby who doesn't like being shot, has the cheek to score a goal every 2 games and generally tries to succeed.

We should replace him with Messi, I'd love that. He can't track back, he's too small to play football and he's not cut out for MAN CITY.
 
All the players put in a decent shift yesterday. A couple were below their usual high level of form - Tevez, Bellamy for me - but overall it was a fair performance against a rag team that, leaving aside obvious prejudices, may be on the way down but are still stronger than we are.

Those completely impartial Arsenal fans said he's lazy and doesn't care, so it must be true, even when it appears not to be. Perhaps if everyone bitched about him and got on his case then he's start to 'put a shift in', that seems likely to work given what we know about his personality.

I could only see bad things happening when de jong was being subbed, he was in every tackle going. I still can't believe people on here think he's overrated
 
Adebayor was coming wide far too often yesterday and for the Striker that he is, he shouldn't need to do that, especially with our wingers. It means by the time we can get a cross in there is nobody in there with height. I would have kept the side as it was and took Adebayor off for Ireland. Agreed that taking De Jong off was criminal!

For me, yesterday proved we need new full-backs either side.

I thought he had a better game than Tevez and Bellamy to be honest,granted he gave the ball away but his effort was decent

Tevez just didn't seem himself,id imagine he was a wee bit embarrassed to be honest as for long spells we were chasing/walking after shadows.
 
By his own standards, thought he put a reasonable shift in yesterday. I am just not convinced that he is top-class: He goes on a mesmerising dribble and then misplace a simple pass. He scores a fantastic volley and then next time shows the first touch of a donkey. Scores a great header against Arsenal and then will win nothing in the air in a different game.

Grrr! He drives me mad!
 
Were most of the contributers to this thread at the game? I think ade did very well yesterday, he covered the pitch and he broke up play and put in a few last gasp tackles in OUR box yesterday! The only thing that was wrong in my eyes was taking nige off, he was fucking immense in the middle, and when paddy came on it was a different game. Jonno gave his all, bit overwhelmed i think, but imo i felt he was given a job to do by bobby, as well as his normal bombing down the wing. We were beaten by the champions in the 3rd minute of added on time, in what in my eyes was a pretty shit game overall. We will come again blues keep the faith.

oh and btw, mr neville i hate you, and promise to smash you to smithereens if we ever cross paths.

He's quality and he does put in a shift. The same people who call him lazy are the same who used to slate Robinho for being lazy. Not everyone has Bellamy like work-rate, mainly because not everybody has technical short-comings.

Absolutely zero wrong with Adebayor and Tevez. Our two best players by some distance.
 
I thought he did ok yesterday. He covered alot of of ground Made some good clearing headers, Dragged defenders out wide and made some important tackles.

He's had a hard season this year. New team, Bans, injuries, ACON's and being shot at plus his friend was killed on that bus.

Give the guy a break and see what next year brings
 
The game was won and lost in Midfield.Can't blame the front players,they had very little service from either flank and virtually none through the middle.We need a midfield player with some energy who can link up the play with our forwards,instead of Tevez and Adebayor having to come deep and look for the ball.
 
fuck me at this rate we"ll have no fucking team .virtually every player is now not good enough to play for us oh and just for good measure change the manager as well.This is just getting more stupid by the minute,all of a sudden all our players are shit.
