In fairness he's more than good enough for the bottom prem sides and carling cup. He would just be a squad player but a squad player we can actually use unlike adebayor.

Adebayor is useless to us, he's too disruptive causes too much trouble we can't actually play him. So in a sense to bring in any player we can use as part of the squad would be a big bonus at the moment.

On a side note even with 3 more signings with the players we expect to move on we would still only have a pro over 21 squad of 21 players. I personally think swp will be retained if he is willing to accept he will struggle to get on the bench even for the big games and won't be playing that much.

I don't really rate lennon that highly, average nothing more. He comes across as a bit of a headless chicken.

However I am desperate to get rid of badabayor, we need cover on the wing so I would take just about any swap deal for him for a player we actually need and can use just to get him out of the club.

Still think his wages will be the big issue with him going there. The fact Harry is letting him go shows he is not that good but I would still take this deal, unfortunately ade is such a prick no one else wants him.

Well make your fucking mind up !!! Within 12 mins he`s gone from AVERAGE,to MORE THAN GOOD ENOUGH !!!!!
I fookin despair with some of you numpties !!

Lennon is quick but his end product is near enough non existant. He'd be okay as a squad player though so let's see what happens.

Wouldn't be the worst deal in the World. Adebayor clearly has no place whatsoever in our squad whereas Lennon would be a useful addition to the squad (if not the starting XI) as he's English and can play out wide where we are short of options.

Having said that, I'd have kept SWP involved to provide cover in those areas, however based on Mancini's comments after the Airtricity XI game it looks like SWP will likely leave before the end of the window, providing we receive a suitable offer.

Oakie, you have taken what he said out of context. He's average but more than good enough against bottom sides = struggles against top sides = average

All we need i feel is Nasri and another squad player, preferably a pacey winger. I feel Lennon would fit the bill and would be a good signing, especially if it meant getting Adebayor off the wage bill. He is not the big name many people on this forum are hoping for, but for squad, you cannot go wrong with him. He has pace in abundance and on his day he can be frightening. He is a dangerous player, maybe a little inconsistent, but then again so is Nani. Pace on the wings is what we lacked last season, he is an out and out winger who can get to the byline and get the crosses in the box, to be honest i do not think there is much between him and Ashley Young, i actually prefer Lennon to be honest. He is unpredictable and very raw and he is a much better upgrade on Wright-Phillips.

If City get Nasri and Lennon, i would be more than happy, would have a great squad with a lot of variety.
