At the risk of sounding arrogant I don't think they will be as much of a threat to us this year, especially not if they sell Modric and don't bother buying a new striker or two.

Hmm..... I'd actually think the more of him for not giving a fuck about the hateful minority. And he'd be joining a club where he will be a valued player, he could easily become far and away their number one striker. Redknapp's football and personality would probably suit him.. all good reasons to make a move. On the other hand, it might be another manifestation of his obsession with Arsenal. That wouldn't be too clever.

Anyway, for some reason I just can't see it happening.

Yes he would. There was an article published not long after Real Madrid knocked Spurs out of the chumps with direct quotes from Adebayor. He commented on the racist chanting and said it was daft as he would certainly consider Tottenham as an option.
In fact the way he said it I almost expected twitcher to enter a bidding war with Real Madrid
