Big big mercenary. He is totally ready to wait for the last hour as he said earlier.

He knows exactly that if he makes the transfer of the last day then the pressure is on City to keep a player we dont want (Mancini wouldnt play him) and pay his extraordinary wages nfor nothing, or sell him but only for that ridiculous offer from Real Madrid. 7-8 million pounds at best.

Of course until late of August we play his wages and not Real Madrid. That's also a few millions.

Probably Madrid told him to act like ths, wait for the end, we weill come for you, but its going to be cheaper for us, so reject every interest (PSG, Malaga, Backburn even Spurs) that will lower antoher clubs interest for you in you also your price.

It's OK that in FFP his wages doesnt count right now, but he gets 7-8 million punds a year. Or more.

Keeping him for this amount is such a waste. Spending this money in the academy or youngester or anything else is better
than simply putting into Adebayors pockets.

Arse supporters were so right about him. Sadly.

It's a conundrum, if it plays out like that, and it might just do.

As you mentioned his wages don't count for ffp, so if Real do try and take the piss in the last few days of the window £6m/£7m bid we are in a position to call their and Ade's bluff.

Just get the training staff to keep making him run up the training hill until he refuses to train, then fine him his wages.

Sounds like the cheeky kind of stunt Mourinho would pull to get him on the cheap

The player and City signed a contract for x years on y wages. Ade, Bellamy and the rest are perfectly entitled to expect that payment whether they stay or go on loan. To ask them to accept less IMO is improper as it's not in keeping with the spirit of the agreed contract. They then should shut the fuck up. If they want regular football they should get their agents to queitly and respectfully find them a willing club and sign a new contract presumably on less money. In the meantime they are bound by their current contract.

Does my head in to listen to people saying they are mercenaries as if anyone would be any different. If some was paying me millions a year to do football training 5 days a week for a few hours I'd be delighted. That money would be well spent on myself, my family, my charities, etc. I'd doubt I'd be willing to accept half to play on a Saturday in front of thousands just to keep slobs at home (like myself) entertained. Why aren't the midweek kickarounds proof that they love football? Do you have to play in front of tv cameras to be a better person? IMO te idea of a mercenary is a complete fabrication by the media and way too many have been duped by it. I heard a reporter say recently he'd work for half his money cos he loves his job. And folk applauded his attitude. Mass dilusion.
they were lucky that city ever paid them that kind of money take your loses an move on to stay proves that they are player with no real ambition and are wasting probably the final years of there very short career for an extra dollar .

what a waste of there god given talent look at raul , robben , sneijder an van der vaart thrown away by real raul made it to CL semi won the Germany's cup competition and was shalkce best player , robben went on to reach a CL final , sneijder went on to win the CL an was the best midfielder in Europe and van der vaart was top scorer an arguably tottenham best player this season adebayor, bellamy, bridge an santa cruz should learn from this , may not be the exact situation but i think the answer is the same. JUST FUCKING LEAVE !

We're not the only club trying to get rid of unwanted players on high wages. Liverpool have got 13 of them.

I'd let Adebayor go for free to get him off our books. He's a liability .He had one good season with Arsenal and he hasn't given a toss since.
