I've criticised him this season, as apart from a few goals don't think he's played that well in matches or done that much, apart from the odd bit of genius, but today he was class. His best performance of the season with the Arsenal game.

Linked up brilliantly with Tev, Bellers, AJ and Barry, chased things down, had some real silky touches and scored another couple of goals.

I'm not a fan of incosistent players and lazy players which for the majority of the season I think he's been but if he plays like he did today then we have one hell of a player.

Keep it up Ade!!

I think what happened in the ACON and him recently realising that even with him suspended and unavailable we've been on course for fourth he's starting to come to terms with

a) ACON wise how fortunate he is as an individual

and

b) That City are the real deal

Whatever people's opinions of Adebayor are, he has a great goal per game record and for one reason or another him and Tevez haven't had a great deal of game time together this season, which hasn't helped, but the last few weeks they have looked like a partnership. Hopefully they're clicking at the right time!

21 league games. 13 goals. 1 goal every 1.6 games. Epic ratio considering what he's been through this season.

Does anyone actually know his goals per game ratio?

Last time I checked it was pretty good

Edit: nevermind*

You can't take away his goal per game record, it's brilliant, but a lot of his performances for me haven't been that great. Obviously you want your strikers to score, but if you can find one who scores, creates for others and plays class, then that's even better. Today Ade was the latter and that's what we need more often from him.

I know what you mean mate, he has been poor in some games but since his latest ban he's looked hungry to me as if he's realised that Champions League football is in his grasp and he wants it! Hopefully he'll be up for the derby, he hasn't started against them this season so will be interesting.

We have Ade going at 1 goal every 1.6 league games and Carlos going at 1 goal every 1.3 league games (22 in 29 starts). Unbelievable. Most strikers can only dream of getting 1 in 2. We have TWO strikers that are absolutely obliterating that target ratio. It's so good to be a blue.

I'm as bigger Ade critic as there is but today he was great, I'd have been happy with his contribution if he hadn't have scored. Well done Ade!

Brilliant today. Thought he would have made the difference in the swamp derby had he played, and I think he will make the difference on Saturday - Wio and Widic are going to have their hands full.

Looking forward to it.
