I agree historically Utd would beat Spurs. However Utd are a team in transition. Many of their influential players have recently retired or are past their best, (like Chelsea!). Any sides success is determined by avoiding injuries. Imagine if we lose Silva, Hart or Kompany. I still think we are just ahead of Spurs but I have closely watched both Spurs and Utd recently, (not just MoTD highlights!) and genuinely believe at the moment Spurs are a better side. Whether Cleverley's return makes a big difference we will see. I imagine Utd will look to strengthen their midfield in Jan.Calcio said:Mate...I hate United. But in a one off game they would beat Spurs. Just check their record against Spurs. And why is an unconvincing United winning game a big surprise? They have done this for years. Spurs is a flair team, but they dont have any experience in being a top 4 team. They are in great form right now. But dont forget against Blackburn and Fulham they have been outplayed. also they have had no injuries to Parker, Modric, Bale and Adebayor. Their rivals for 4th are missing some of their key players like Gerrard and Wilshere. lets see Spurs when they get few injuries. The PL is long and we havent even played 1/3Plain Speaking said:IMO on current form Spurs. United are playing with a fear since the 6-1 and were lucky to beat Swansea. They have no confidence at the moment. Spurs are flying high on confidence, great going forward but can be vulnerable at the back. However Scott parker has transformed their side. He is immense in midfield. As tenacious as Nigel but creative.Calcio said:Second best team in the league? So lets say Spurs played man u in one of game in neutral place. Would spurs be favourites? take bias out of the picture and you were told guess the winner correct and you get 100k. Who would you go for to win that game?
