I wonder if Aguero wants to come to Spurs, I remember we bid £38mill for him but A.Madrid didn't want him to leave.

According to Spurs ITK's, He is still gutted and wants to move asap.

Don't get me wrong, I know all the top strikers in Europe are desperate to sign for you, I just can't see their clubs releasing them to such a major rival as your good selves.

Good point, Every team in Europe knows that we are only 1 quality striker away from world domination.
And one midfielder away from it.

At least you've turned it into a laugh now ;)

Re: Adebayor

Mancini said today: "I think maybe we can close this [Ade to Spurs] in the next few days."

Re: Adebayor

modric supposedly goin r.madrid any day now (papers?)
would free up cash to spend and
modric would have been a top earner there (id guess) so more room to manouvre with wage bill.

Re: Adebayor

Mancini says in his interview that his deal will be sorted in few days....
fingers crossed....

Re: Adebayor

Modric is not a top earner, He is on 40k a week as he has refused to sign a new deal.

As for Adebayor, City hold the cards and If they want to get rid of him then they will need to sort out his big wages by offering Spurs a heavily reduced transfer fee and also giving Adebayor some sort of loyalty payment off..

That theory is so wrong that it's silly.

From an amortation point of view, and simple finance, we are better of loaning him out.

Loan him for a £3million ish fee like in the past.. the fee covers the cost of a wage subsidy, then the player costs us nothing for a year.

In the Tottenham senario you suggest, we almost lose out by selling him.
