Adnan Januzaj

Would like to see him compared to other young players, either now or historically.

Wonder how he's doing vs. the likes of Gnarby now. Or vs. Rooney or Walcott when they started. I saw this posted by a Liverpool fan on redcafe:

Penalties won? Like the one last night where he hurdles 75% of the bulk of Tim Howard but just leaves enough foot to catch an arm and thus end up arse over tit for the pen. And then there was the point where he brushed the outer edge of GazBaz's shirt and threw himself through a triple corkscrew to get Barry booked. Cheatin' little shit!!

Does kinda highlight how the media love in with all things Rag and JizzJazz have made him out to be far better far more influential than he actually has been - he's not the Messiah he is currently a promising little boy.....

Vincent Kompany has now scored the same amount of goals as Janujaz this season.

Forget Suarez vs Aguero, Kompany vs Janujaz is the real competition

Well to be fair look who he's up against. He's up against Nani (doesn't give a fuck), Valencia (no Ferguson to get the best out of him) and Young (was always overrated, but has regressed from even his Villa days). He'll look a world beater compared to that.

The likes of Lopes, Sterling and Gnarby are playing on teams with Silva, Ozil, Ramsey, Suarez, etc getting the headlines, so they kind of slip under the radar.

Statistics never tell the whole story though. Liverpool have scored the second most goals in the Premiership and have been destroying teams. They are having a fantastic season. Sterling can develop well without the attention of the other team. Januzaj has literally been the focal point of the United attack for over half the season. The tactic seems to be to pass the ball to Januzaj.

Also I don't think being 'better' as a teenager is a sign of potential. Milner and Lennon are probably in the top 10 best Premiership 16 year olds. If I am not wrong I think they are the two youngest players to score (though Smith may have stolen Lennon's goal). Januzaj is talented, but not as talented as say Meyer or Werner even if he is better than them at the moment. He is no where near as good as Fabregas, Owen, Ronaldo, Owen or Wilshere were either for example,
