Advice needed - wing mirror smashed.

Go to Vauxhall first and ask is it a complete unit or is the mirror a seperate piece available seperately (which will almost be the case). Don't dick about with joe bloggs down the road or ebay until you know. They'll not charge you a penny for that information, and guess what? They'll actually be able to supply you with the RIGHT INFO.

Its not that difficult to finf that out yourself

What do you mean by the 'arse', the plastic back?

If that's gone you'll probably need to get a new unit off Vauxhall due to the colour, I don't know if you can just get the plastic back.

If you've got the plastic back get down to Pimholes in Bury, J2 M66 and head into Bury. Just before the turn off for Gigg Lane (you've gone too far) there's a sign for an industrial estate, Evans St. I think on the left. I got a wing mirror and front door glass for a Rover 25 for £30 last week. There's a few scrappers down there, got it at the 1st one which is the best organised.

You'll be lucky to get the right colour, that's why you need the back.

If you just need the glass you should be able to get a stick on one from a motor factors or Halfords.

I have a slight scratch ( about a millimetre across) on the boot of my Aston Martin Volante. Any ideas how to fix it?

...just tell the driver to fix it whilst you are in the champagne bar, dharling...
