we go london friday...gonna do all the touristy things friday afternoon...were going to wembley saturday for the rugby final and coming home sunday night

but where do you advise us to go out on the lash too on friday/sat night? as that i mean an area not too far away..dont mind travelling on the tube where theres a fair amount of clubs/pubs/restraunts clumped together where the nightlife is quite good..oh yeh and not ridiculously priced haha

our hotel is the city inn westminster so im guessing were very central to london

were doing all the usual london trips like tussauds harrods covent garden millenium eye the palace etc... but if anyone has any other ideas on where to visit much appreciated

I went drinking in Leicester sq about 10 years ago and I got 2 vodka and cokes and a JD and coke. It come to £18.50 and the cnut put the change in his tip jar without asking and fucked off to the other end of the bar.

The Flying Scotsman pub is also worth a visit – Rumour has the back bar room has some wonderful views on the eye for as little as a pound a go ;-)

If you're in Westminster, there are some great pubs (but not much else). The Cardinal behind Westminster Cathedral (not the Abbey) is one of my favourites and there's some good ones opposite the Home Office in Petty France - Adam & Eve, Duke of Buckingham, Two Chairmen.

If you want good restaurants, bars and clubs then instead of going to the West End, go to Clapham. Loads of places round there and it's only a few minutes on the tube. Someone mentioned Old Street and just off there is Hoxton Square which has some good places and not too expensive (by London standards anyway). You can also go in the Macbeth pub, where Amy Winehouse's husband twatted the landlord! Often have live music in there. Camden is also good but I don't know that so well.

New Cross - 6 minutes from London Bridge.

Best part of London - Unless you're french, then you might get tortured, sliced up and torched. But otherwise a nice multi-cultural place.

What's it like being a City fan there? Isn't that Milwall territory?
