AFC Bournemouth (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

There have been times when we have been shite, but tonight wasn’t one of them. We played fairly well and I knew Bournemouth were playing well in league before tonight, but they even surprised me how good they were. Their goal even encouraged them to really ramp it up against us.

Two trophies, is a very good season, just a pity we didn’t stop that wank Arsenal team!

Expected Arsenal to win the title at the end, but what a poor way to hand it to them.
To a man they were far better than us today.
Poor starting lineup. Subs gash once again.
As soon as OReilly missed that sitter, an injury time equalizer when it was far too late was inevitable.

But 3 months ago I would have snapped your hand off for 2 cup wins and a second place finish. So its been a great season.

Never fancied us in this game.
League was over anyway.
At least now Sunday becomes only about saying goodbye to 2 legends: Bernardo and Stones and one fucking icon - Pep Guardiola.

Pep. You did something not many others have done in football, you changed the whole reputation of a football club. We used to have to justify the fact we were a big club…. Not anymore.

What’s baffling is that we looked dangerous after half time then the three subs killed all momentum rather than pushing us on that extra bit.

All he needed was to sub Bernardo, then killed our ability to play football. Genuinely horrendous substitution.

We held them off for a few years Liverpool last year but took them a billion pound spend 6 years to get there! Being impartial here from where they were when Arteta took over he built a very good squad yea cost a billion but 6 years isn’t that long when you look at other clubs! Have to say though I new it be us dropping points for them to win it would happen and honestly the officials gave them that push too!

Think it was ultimately a fair result in the game and league position.

There is something bothersome and very strange about this squad. Not going to single out individual players, but there are players in the side that seem rather lacking in courtesy to other teams. We've had great players like De Bruyne, Silva, Toure, Aguero, Kompany etc. come to the club but they never seemed to have a chip on their shoulder and talk down to other opponents.

Perhaps it's because of the digital age and people like the content it produces but there's something not as likeable in this side as previous teams we had, even ones that didn't win as much.
