Its probably 1st October 2013 to September 30th 2014.

I agree that it seems a bit steep, considering we didn't buy a striker etc, who usually take more agent fees than defenders for example. Mangala's agent must have took huge amount.

If the clubs next set of accounts show a loss of around £ 20 million as has been suggested in one thread, looks like more than half that loss went into the pockets of agents. Maybe Ueafa should legislate\impose restrictions on agents for the good of football !

Mangalas agent owned some of him remember. Think it was about a third so that's 10m spent on agents already

After a quick Google, the first result is from the Liverpool Echo :-

Liverpool FC’S spending on agent fees rocketed to more than £14million over the past year.

Only Chelsea (£16.7million) splashed out more to player representatives during the period from October 1 2013 to September 30 2014.

In total Premier League clubs spent a record £115million on payments to middlemen across the last two transfer windows.

Manchester City (£12.8million) were third in the list with Tottenham (£10.9million) fourth and Everton FC (£5.7million) in seventh.

Despite Anfield officials voicing their determination to reduce the club’s outlay on agents, the figures have continued to escalate since they spent £8.6milion in 2011/12. That amount climbed to £9.4million for 2012/13 and now it has soared by another 50% in the space of 12 months to £14,308,444.

That is explained partly by the sheer amount of business Liverpool did last summer as they spent £116million on completing transfers for Adam Lallana, Lazar Markovic, Dejan Lovren, Mario Balotelli, Alberto Moreno, Emre Can, Javier Manquillo, Divock Origi and Rickie Lambert.

The £20million deal for Benfica winger Markovic was complicated by third-party ownership issues which had to be resolved by paying various fees.

Liverpool’s bill for using agents was almost double that of Manchester United’s (£7.9million), while Arsenal only spent £4.3million. The lowest spenders were promoted Burnley with £711,000.
