Aggressive walker Kevin Horlock

He bought a rather expensive chandelier from me back in the day (think he lived in Cheadle at the time). Talking with him on the phone was a buzz, and I'm not going to lie, I was completely in awe of him.
All together now, "Super, Super Kev, Super, Super Kev........"

Had a few interactions with him on X.
Genuinely nice bloke and will always go down as one of the players who put us on the road back to where we are.
I tell my kids that KDB is only the second best Kevin to play for City. Not sure they believe me though! Loved Super Kevin Horlock back in the day - that spell where our midfield was Horlock, Benarbia, Berkovic was brilliant, with Horlock doing the work of 3 men.

Don't want to upset my stalkers on here, so.....

Ben Stiller; as funny as a very unfunny thing.

I'll upset them for you then @jimharri ...

The gif file is from a film called Zoolander which I've never been arsed with and thought the small bit I saw was utter shite, not surprisingly Stiller wrote what I believe besides that gif is terrible, the stupid walk above when I see it just reminds me of Horlock's bizarre red card.

I personally think the same on Ben Stiller his on screen humour and characters are generally rubbish, you're never laughing at him but more more the situations his characters finds himself in, someone else genuinely could've done pretty much all his roles better.

The only film of his I like on the top of my head where he's a main character is There's Something About Mary that's about it, the film although funny to me wasn't funny because of Stiller as for me his bland and uncharacteristic.
There's Something about Mary was funny because The Farrelly Brothers made it, the same brothers who made Dumb and Dumber, they also made Me, Myself and Irene.
It's usually always the same with Stiller's more successful films like Meet The Parents, it's usually written by someone else and he's lucky to land on his feet.

His best character for me was the sadistic carer at the old folks home in Happy Gilmore he was in a few different clips that lasted a total of 2-3minutes, I've never really liked Stiller or found him or his characters specifically that funny in owt else, in Happy Gilmore he treats elderly people shockingly bad which sounds horrible but I've got a sick morbid sense of humour.

I think Kevin Horlock was top for us and I 100% believe he should've been a Prem player without rose tinted glasses, some say he wasn't quick enough but we had plenty of slow players, maybe he also didn't live the life as a true professional when you hear about his problems.

Horlock's all round play went underappreciated by those who never saw him play though he was a workhorse and very intelligent, he was surprisingly very good in front of goal when he chose to shoot but maybe he just had the knack of knowing when to shoot.

I think his work rate and all round ability was good enough to stay longer here, honestly I couldn't believe when he was sold I didn't appreciate Keegan ditching him to me it was a travesty.

I think just like with Shaun Goater that Kevin Horlock was tossed to the side a year or two too quickly, some of Keegan's signings although he tried to improve the overall quality were shite, it was a bizarre decision to ditch him so quickly when he could've been useful.

The reason I include Goater is because I think even ageing he just always had something playing for us, he was never a Prem player ability wise but he'd honestly have done a better job than most the strikers Keegan signed.

Horlock along with Gerard Wiekens were 100% our only good signings, between our relegation in 95/96 and Joe Royle's arrival here.

The one thing about him was he never shirked it.Thats why him Morrison, and Dickov will always be revered here by us older blues.

He was excellent in the Keegan promotion season playing the Rodri role whilst Ali B, Berkovic, Huckerby, Macken, Goater and Wanchope were all out attack.

Forgive me asking, but who is Woody?
I watched the Jim Whitley one and it seems Woody's daughter is the up and coming actrress Amy-Lou Wood. I do remember seeing an interview where she said she didn't see much of her Dad when she was younger as he was on the piss with City players all the time.

I remember being at Walsall away in the players lounge in 99 and I thought it was weird than this bloke seemed to know every player on first name terms yet he was 15 years older than them.

Great listen . They was talking about where the Poznan originated from , Horlock was on about doing when we won the league the other year with his son. He was right next to us in block 111 doing it . He also did it with us outside a Shisha bar at Wembley when we beat Chelsea in a Seni final, he was steaming . Top fella !

Who is Mike Wood who presents it. Seems like a bit of a character back in the day . ?

What was his job, if any, at that time for him to be around the players?
