It's not a Court of Law. I am not sure a technical defence will carry much weight. They'll be more interested in the incident. We've all seen far worse. You look at a photo it looks bad. You spend some time looking at it from all angles, it's not as bad. It's a marginal call. There's nothing to be lost by putting forward some of our own evidence / argument, and hope for the best. If he had got a straight red, I don't think we could have been incensed at it. It's the way this has been done. Utd fans have seen an opportunity to do us, and seized it. Had the boot been on the other foot, they'd have gotten away with it. That's what is annoying. Yet more evidence of a distorted playing field.Because City can employ a top barrister to represent Sergio he will drive a coach and horses through the process and regulations I'm sure that City are pissed that this is the third trumped up charge, led by the media, we have suffered more than any other club with this. The whole process of looking at a particular incident and not others is unfair and unjust and it's about time it was stopped
I'm not sure now. It would be pointless anyway as we are making the case. the formalities of the process seem to have changed with it all having been "fast-tracked".So presumably, we still have an option to appeal if the totally expected verdict goes against us?
We agree! I bet most football fans, City, Utd or whoever agree that this system is a lottery. Depends too much on who is reviewing MOTD, and whether a player decides to milk an incident or not.Nothing to be served by appealing, we won't win and it'll just piss off the FA/media/refs even more.
I hope the club are looking at the whole process though, as it drastically needs an overhaul.
