Aguero banned for three games (updated)

Ried held his forehead and his face when its clear he was struck in the neck area, wasnt his neck hurting then?
He had made up his mind he was going to make the most of it, his "unhappy" face when walking off wasn't very convincing either

It's not the decisions that get me it's the lack of consistency that sticks in my craw. It reveals what a bunch of spineless, rag bastards they are. SCUM will be SCUM.

Having replayed the TV footage (several times), I believe it is impossible that Marriner didn't see it. Basically, he has lied to the FA to protect his own reputation. In a court of law that would amount to perjury. For the record, I wouldn't have objected if he had sent Kun off at the time - harsh but within the law for him to do so.

If it was a murder trial, I'd say there wasn't enough evidence to convict.
But it's football, and there's enough to convince most he was giving Reid a bit of afters.

It's a ban.

Plenty get away with this, but that doesn't make it right. He got caught.

You can bet if bogbrush or Rooney did something like that it wouldn't even get a mention, the fawning media as well would turn a blind eye regarding the rags,as with the majority of these types of incidents it's usually the media who push for the ban by wall to wall coverage of incidents..

You are absolutely spot on there pal.

You know what gets me about the whole thing is this.

There is no possible way that the referee missed this as you can clearly see he is looking directly at the incident, there is no way that he could have missed this from his match report given the publicity surrounding it either. So if it is in his report then it either means that he felt there was nothing in it or he didn't appreciate the challenge from his viewpoint.

I would have a whole lot more respect for the FA if they came out and said regardless of the referees decision on the day the FA feels the challenge was dangerous and as such they are bringing a charge against Aguero. They could then re iterate that in cases like this they reserve the right to look again at instances like this.

To just say the referee did not see the incident is the shithouse way out of it.

Aguero was a fool.
Marriner is a spineless ****
The FA are their usual incompetent selves.

Fellaini did one far worse to Zab a few seasons ago - absolutely horrific off the ball. Nothing said.

It was at OT about 3 seasons ago.
