Aguero/Fern Barca game watch....

Got to be good news, but there's training and training. We've seen him on CityTV "training" on his own for some time. When he's back training with the other players, taking part in the practise games, shooting etc, and when he's got a week of that under his belt, he can play. Fernandinho is differet because he has only missed 2 weeks.

Having them both back for Wembley is more important. Therefore if there is ANY risk they should not be involved.

agree too, it sounds like Fern is ready, and imo hes more important for tomorrows game to try and stifle Barca midf. Although Aguero is world class, we have Jovetic who looks class.

Correct. It's not like this is the last match of the season.

If Ferna is fit, I would still start Garcia and push Toure further up. Have Jovetic and Silva on the flanks, with Nasri replacing one of them on the 65min mark. We are going to need to find a good balance in midfield for this one, with two players sitting back protecting each of our wing backs. If Messi gets a free run at Zaba we could be in trouble a la the Chelsea match where Hazzard tore us a new one. This was fixed on Saturday when Milner and Zabs double marked him. We need similar tactics tomorrow.

Good shout , that JHD.

Fernandinho back! BBC Sport.
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26225904" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26225904</a>
Fernandinho is set to return to the Manchester City squad for the Champions League last-16 tie against Spanish champions Barcelona on Tuesday.

The midfielder has missed City's last three matches with a muscle problem but took part in training on Monday.

However, striker Sergio Aguero did not take part and his chances playing appear slim.

The Argentine has been out since 29 January after picking up a hamstring injury in a 5-1 win over Tottenham.

Aguero, who has 26 goals in 25 City appearances so far this season, came off just before half-time against Spurs and was expected to be out for a month.

The 25-year-old had only just returned from an eight-game absence with a calf injury before suffering his latest injury setback.

Happy with that. Fernandinho is more important one. I'd play a midfield three of Garcia-Fernandinho-Yaya as I think we will need it against Barca's strong midfield. Then play Silva and Nasri as the inverted wingers (or navas in place of Nasri if he is only fit enough for the bench although I think he will be good for a start) and then Jovetic/Negredo/Dzeko as the starting striker.

Its official! BOOM!

Pellegrini on @fernaoficial "He is on squad list for tomorrow. We will see who starts tomorrow. He worked without a problem."

Dzeko?

Nasty?

Aguero?

Sounds like we have everyone OK for this match except Aguero.

I'm not giving up hope that he can make it...but leave it till tomorrow's team sheet to let the news out.

From Leon....(Gary Oldman)

"Bring Everyone"

"What do you mean everyone?"

"EVERYONE!!"
