I havent heard 7 games, I looked at the fixture list and worked out 6 weeks which I think is realistic. I doubt he will be able to train very much at all while it heals

He'll be keeping fit doing cardio on bikes and low impact exercises, but obviously no contact stuff.
And he'll probably be sleeping in an oxygen tent, as Beckham did for his metatarsal injury, to speed up the bone's healing process

I broke a rib many years ago playing football and boy does it hurt. Struggle to pick urself out of bed never mind playing football. Hopefully he can recover quick. International break will help us a little bit with him.

They say laughter is the best medicine.

It's possibly the worst thing you can do if you've a broken rib.

Get well soon Sergio.

Not sure on that one, broken ribs are very painful and seem to impact your whole body's movement as you can't bend your back or lift your arms/legs without pain. He might just have to put his feet up at least for the first week or 2 but I suppose everyone's different

Main problem with rib fractures is it hurts to breath.
I very much doubt he will be able to do any cardio work for 2-3 weeks.
Would settle for a return in 5-6 weeks.

That's for us but don't City have Oxygen tents and a cryotherapy unit. Don't really know what this means much would hope it reduces recovery time.

Cryo is helpful in muscle injury but will not speed up any fracture healing.
It is true professional athletes do recover more quickly than you or I and generally speaking have better pain thresholds but rib fractures do take time to heal.
Let's just hope he is back asap!
