UEFA will want madrid and barcelona in this new mini tournament not manchester city. the showcase 8 teams all be friends of uefa and be looked after in the draw

I was firmly in that camp too, but if UEFA wanted us out and Madrid in why in the first leg did the ref allow Jesus's goal when it could have been disallowed for a push in the back, why did they he give us a pen which I've seen not given before and why did he send off Ramos when I've seen defenders escape with a yellow in similar situations?

the knockouts are a 2nd leg game for a reason and they can change things in the 2nd because of what happened in the first leg. but yes i agree the first game over there was a fair game by the officials but am not holding by breath for the 2nd leg
