Aguero injured

People have been saying this bout him for 3 years and while i have no doubt that there is an element of truth in this he has hasnt managed it yet

64 goals he has scored for this club in 145 games, the lad will never make it, might as well get rid.

Tevez, for example, scored 73 in 148.

He is miles behind that proven goal scorer, sell him immediately.

He will be fine, that goal against the barcodes was confidence personified, which bodes well for our remaining games

jesus plays in pockets and when he wants it is a handful for anybody ? you can see it from the start he will rush and press everything when he wants it even coming deep to get the ball, but when he is hiding and does not move and make the runs he simple does not want the ball its ugly ?

for me jesus is not a out and out striker and needs a partner to play off, and when pep plays him in the 3 or false 9 he can struggle to understand the role and setup, for me having KDB in the team i would want to play right up top and not go fishing for the ball myself. but are we playing double bluff and the bigger the game the better jesus and the better players turn up

Again its not just about the stats. - its about his performances - they are hit and miss. The goals he does score (while they all count) are mostly laid on a plate for him - he rarely creates his own goals or scores difficult chances - for instance the goal that aguero scored vs the scousers last year to put us 1-0 up - Jesus doesnt socre that - he probably doesnt even try....the goal that ageuro scored at old trafford where he ran across the edge of a box at an angle and then into the box beating phil the face and putting it int he top corner at the near post - again - Jesus doesnt score that....there are so many examples - Agueor scores all types of goals - so did Henry - the very very best do as Shearer did. Jesus is a fantastic fox in the box and his build up and link up play are fantastic as is his work rate - bt when the chips are down and you need a goal like we did in all those circumstances is he capable? IM not convinced - Ageuro would score goals in any team- Jesus needs a team like us where he has high value chances created.

You are still forgetting his almost career ending injury.

Like Ageuros many injuries - you jsut get back on it and start again - this is not an excuse for what he is lacking at present. Hopefully he will develop it in time but I havent seen any sign of it

Kun is king and came from spain with european football experience. Gabby was a raw diamond when he arrived and got knocked out before he got settled in foreign land. Its not an excuse but a bit of logic.

Do you actually believe that Aguero doesn't miss a shit ton of chances of his own?

Really?

I do love it when people like you say Stats don't matter when slagging off your own striker with a goal record we would have worshipped and desired 10,15,20 years ago.

Like I said he isn't far off Tevez's goal record and I believe isn't even that far off Aguero's record at a similar stage to their City careers.

of course he does

Im not slagging him off - Im saying there needs to be improvement in areas while also citing his positives.

Sergio scores goals from anywhere. The one where he swivelled on the end of a pin and thumped it past that second-rate Brazilian goalie, and then that one he scored from an angle of about five degrees to the goal line against that third rate Spanish goalie - he can score goals from nothing, when nothing is on and when yer wonder whether we are gonna score, he scores. He is a phenomenon. There aren't many phenomena in the game, but we have had one as a goalscorer, and while I'm on about phenomena, we had one in the midfield for ten years. These two players have both brought uniqueness to The Etihad. We might not see the like again!
