Murals come and go around there. Why would a mural of Aguero's iconic goal from 9 years ago stay there forever? He left, so they did that in tribute. No it will be something else, then something else and so on.

I'm sure there's a valid reason but I'm confused as to why he bothered to autograph it if it was going to be washed off.

The murals in northern quarter change constantly, this wouldn’t have ever been there permanently. A lot of them are adverts usually so MCC must take a fee for the space.
