Aguero press conference. 6:30pm in Dublin.

Also note that he said "like a winger", so i think he wants a winger/forward who can play in a front 3.

Hasn't Eto'o been playing there for Inter in recent years? Tevez-Eto'o swap?

Or is Cerci a winger/forward?

We are after a central midfielder and a winger!

Nasri and Cerci?
As soon as I heard that I made a thread in the transfer forum!

He said midfielder, not central midfielder.

What if he considers Nasri sort of winger? Maybe Sneijder AND Nasri? One can wet dream.

New member here, and as I haven't commented on 100 posts, I can't start a new topic.

But I wanted to share the following with you guys anyway, so thought I'd post it here. Hope you don't mind.

Anyway, here goes:

What City mean to me:

No history they say
Football we decay
But we'll always be here, to watch our boys play

Meredith our first star
Admired from afar
When out on the pitch, no one matched his par

Successes soon came
Giving the club fame
All we would ask for is more of the same

We moved to Maine Road
It stays our true abode
To the players we loved, our happiness owed

Trautmann broke his neck
Ended the game as a wreck
But a cup he delivered, he deserved his paycheck

And then came the two
Made us proud to be blue
Allison and Mercer, we simply thank you

Summerbee down the wing
Colin Bell was our king
Who with Lee, Young, and Doyle made the whole kippax sing

Dennis Tueart is blue
Loves City through and through
His overhead kick making our dreams come true

With Swales in control
Success was our goal
But his ego would soon start taking its toll

Daley was signed
Swales must have been blind
His vision for City had now been defined

Pleat dancing his way
City disarray
The decline had begun, we all remember that day

Tolmie and Melrose
Mediocrity follows
But still we stayed true and overcame all the lows

The kids started to rise
To silence our sighs
In a lower division that countered our cries

The hatrick of hatricks
Stewart, Adcock, and White
Sending all of Maine Road into scenes of delight

With Chelsea we fought
With us falling short
But Morley at Bradford meant we could not be caught

Back in the top flight
Balloons still in full sight
Redmond Hinchcliffe and Brightwell, Paul Lake and Dave White

Kinkladze arrived
His tricks we admired
But it wasn't enough, and we never survived

Lomas held the ball
Against Liverpool of all
And down we would go, lower depths we would trawl.

So came the lows
As the third tier bestows
But a light did shine through, Wembley the venue

Horlock scored first
Dickov's shot the net burst
Weaver doing his dance that was no way rehearsed

And then promotion again
A season Goater would reign
Back in the top flight, our rightful place we regain.

But it wasn't to last
Our stay over too fast
Royle was no more, he was now in our past.

Keegan arrived
The top flight we all strived
Eyal, Ali and Goater ensured that we thrived

So back in the PL
A new stadium as well
But strikers Anelka and Fowler failing to gel

King Kevin replaced
A new challenge Pearce faced
But the goals didn't come, his tenure not embraced

A new owner and Sven
A summer signing top men
Corluka, Geovanni, Elano were them

We started on fire
But it soon turned quite dire
The season was over, our manager we would fire

And then came the news
A takeover breakthroughs
And we were now managed by a certain Mark Hughes

But his time here was short
His tenure soon would abort
And in came Roberto, with Kidd his escort.

4th place we missed out
Despite all our clout
But this time there wasn't to be a time-out.

And it reaped its reward
With Silva now onboard
And Yaya would give us what we all adored

And now CL is gained
A new future attained
And nothing to stop us from being contained

So that's my ode to you
To the ones who stay true
To us all who regard us to be blues through and through

The ups have been few
The downs too many too blue
But loving our club? That's not an issue

This has been the best transfer window in terms of signings.

They've all been exactly what we need.
Mancini is no mug!

Also note how he is constantly putting pressure on the board to deliver. How many times have we heard "to compete with the top teams in the premier league and champions league, we will need more players. The club knows this and are working on this."

At the start of the window, there was a disparity between what Mancini wanted and what the board wanted (due to FFP), but Mancini now seems to be winning.
