Aguero - Real Madrid Speculation

we didn't let Tevez go because Milan were low balling us because of his chequered past.

We wont stand in Aguero's way if we get the right offer in, I would imagine that we'll ask for at least £70m. You cant keep a player against their will if a club puts good money on the table for him.

you taking the piss 70m?!

he's a 100m player if Aguero decides he wants to leave but so did YAYA and he's been told he's to important and going nowhere...

Why not hes under contract.

He has a contract here. We shouldn't even consider it.

Where else would we get his goals, assists, work rate and good looks from?

A. He doesn't want to go...In fact he posted on twitter a few days ago saying he's looking forward to next season

B. We would not entertain a fucking bid for him let alone a derogatory one

He is our talisman...it's right up there with Barca selling Messi

In reality the size of the fee in these types of deals makes it easier to sell to the fans, so they can at least reconcile the fact that although their is best player is gone they at least got a good deal.

If we were in Reals shoes, would we realistically pay £100m for Aguero? he's probably at his peak as a footballer at this point in time but explosive strikers of his type very rarely produce once they get the wrong side of 30. You also have to factor in that he misses at least 10 games per season through injury with another 4/5 getting back his match sharpness.

I really hope he doesn't want to go as he is everything that you would want a city legend to be, humble, honest and incredibly talented.

We just have to accept that in world football terms we are not quite a the top of the foodchain , close but no cigar.

Life moves on and so does football, he would be adequately replaced given our resources

I dont think he wants to go either , but we have seen this story played out so many times before. Madrid get the momentum behind a deal by using their various media mouthpieces. They tap the player up with the lure of the white shirt and a massive contract, player suddenly has a change of heart and asks his club to consider Reals bid....

See above, we wouldn't accept a bid unless the player expressed a wish to leave.

Its not really though is it? Messi is the greatest footballer to ever walk the earth, he has been at Barca for over 15 years and has won the lot

It would be like big club sells great player to even bigger club, which we have seen countless times before

we might not be top of the food chain, but we can still keep hold of our best player if he wants out.

Also, we would not be able to adequately replace him.

And we never will be if we sell players of Aguero's quality every time Real or Barca come sniffing!
