That's not how MIDI tones work, have you tried renaming the .mp3 file to .wav?

anyone got this notification as a MIDI file.....mp3 does not work for text rings....I have HTC and can only have a notification as MIDI file :(

Download an app called "Ringdroid". Find the file in the app, then save it as a "Notification".

Done.
