they are 2 great players.

but aguero is much more useful in the way Mancini play .

aguero can give to the team the depth and the pace that Tevez can not give.

Dont see how you can make such a claim - give him 12 months and we will see - simple fact is it is going to be almost impossible for Aguero to score as may goals as Tevez and when Tevez came to us he was already familiar and experienced in the prem lleague - it could take Aguero 6 months to settle in

maybe i made "such a claim" becouse i know the 2 players and can see their differences ?

Aguero will do well to fill Tevez's boots ......

it won't be easy for him!

But until you have seen how he plays within the team and how Aguero adapts to the prem then nothing is certain - plenty of outstanding players have come and gone from the prem because they did not quite make it

Dont get me wrong Aguero i rate highly and can see no reason why he cant become one of the best prem strikers ever BUT he aint done feck all yet in the prem.

The smple fact is you cannot compare Aguero and Tevez until Aguero has done at least 12 months in the prem - what you are stating is your opinion and it is as valid as mine or anybody elses

Im getting sick of retarded threads like this. I dont care if you are Agueros personal trainer. The FACT is, he could have just bagged 100 goals in 20 games in La Liga, that doesnt make him an automatic success in the PL. Our league, is the toughest in the world, and to suggest he will outperform our best player for decades is ridiculous. IF he does, great, but only time will prove that to be true...

The fact that he has never played under Mancini, so you can't know that for sure.

I think Aguero will be a fantastic signing for you, but I doubt he'll be as good as Tevez in this league.

Tevez's physique and style of play was/is perfect for England.

i think the fact he WANTS to be here and be at city will level things up.

my favourite signing this.

i could fill tevez boots if he leaves,

just give me the nod the day before and i`ll nip to rusholme for a chicken tikka madras

For Argentina:

Tevez has scored 13 goals in 59 games.

Aguero has scored 13 goals in 30 games.

Premier League

Tevez: 59 goals in 152 appearances for West Ham, United and us is not amazing.

2010-11: Tevez scored the same number of goals as Berbatov. The latter's tally did not include any penalties. People do not drool over Berbatov simply because he was joint Golden Boot winner; in fact, many people would rate him as the third best of United's strikers.

Castrol Football Rankings

Aguero is no. 9 (up from no. 11)

Tevez is no. 44 (up from no. 70)

Lies, dammed lies and statistics!!

Listen, if Aguero settles in England, learns the lingo and if he adapts to the pace and passion of English football, then, along with his natural gifts and ability, he'll more likely than not be a 'success'. If he doesn't settle he won't. A previous poster said that we have seen lots of 'quality players with big reputations' come to the Prem and flop and this is so true and we have had our fair share at City... Robinho anybody?? Give the lad a minimum 1-2 seasons then judge him.

Too many numptys on here will no doubt be shouting "waste of money" if he's not hit the net 20 times by Christmas - as many were when Tevez first joined us!!

DOHHHHHHHH!!!

He's definitely faster than Tevez but Tevez is the more complete player atm, simply because he is older (he's also become a better player since joining us - much more composed than he used to be).
Aguero can become a better player than Tevez tho and maybe he'll take to the Prem even better than Carlos has.

How mad would it be to go into the season with Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko and Balotelli as our strikers!!!

It literally leaves me speechless.

I hope he is, but i think you may be forgetting how good Tevez's actual scoring record is. 63 games 43 goals in the league. Overall 81 games 51 goals.

Tevez has been a quality player, shame its got to end in this manner.

I just hope we don't compare the 2 constantly, as it must be annoying enough for all top Argie players constantly being compared to Maradona, never mind another compatriots.

you now sounds like rags , when you read about their players on rags forums they are the best in the world , when they ( players ) wants to leave they are not that good

Tevez is the best player in our team and he is leaving not sure if we will ever fine the right replacmenet for him
