Aguero Wins Barclays POTM for January

Am i alone in thinking Sergio hasn't actually been that great this month? He's scored a hat full and won us vital points but his overall game hasn't been great really bar our last tie against Everton. Deserves it for all the other times he's missed out though.
 
Aguero's goal at Stamford Bridge in 2013 was better. Was coming out of traffic and struck it with his weaker foot and beat a better goalie in Cech.

Well we all know that Vardy and Kane will be the strikers in team of the year, even if they do fuck all between now and the end of the season. Englishness added to a sense that Aguero is just doing what is expected will see to that. The same reason that Silva never gets any recognition.

As for it all being strikers, have you seen the defences in the Premier League lately?

Last time someone who wasn't a striker won the award was Steveie GBH in April 2014.

Difficult to see him getting a spot ahead of Kane and/or Vardy. Probably not even on the bench.
